What Makes Audigy Drivers Different?

Audigy drivers are manufactured by Creative Labs. This company became known when it introduced the Sound Blaster sound cards in the year 1989. Sound Blaster is said to have started the entire multimedia revolution. Since then the way that users listen to audio on their PCs has changed. Creative Labs has continued to be a leader in innovation over the years, and the Sound Blaster Audigy is one of its latest advancements.

The Sound Blaster Audigy SE takes care of the audio needs of current PC users. Users who listen to MP3s on their system can benefit if there is an Audigy card installed on it because of the large quality enhancement using 24-bit ADVANCED HD audio technology. Audigy also offers support for multichannel Surround Sound, including both 5.1 and 7.1 sound. Game enthusiasts enjoy the features like EAX ADVANCED HD 3.0 sound effects, including 3D positional audio across many different speakers.

Audigy Caters to Today’s Multimedia Demands

Many times modern PCs today are the basis of a home entertainment system, with music, movies, games, and other activities. Because of this, stereo sound is no longer good enough, with many consumers wanting full Surround Sound including a number of speakers. The audio cards installed on the system need to be able to output the required multichannel audio to the numerous home theater speakers.

Audigy drivers and sound cards provide for the needs of music lovers, video gamers, and movie and television on PC fans. Audigy comes bundled up with a number of software programs, including the Creative Software Suite which consists of EAX Console, MediaSource Go!, MediaSource Go! Launcher, Wave Studio, Sound Font Bank Manager, Smart Recorder, Speaker Settings, Creative Device Control, Surround Mixer, Graphic Equalizer, MediaSource Player, and MediaSource Organizer.

To install and use Sound Blaster Audigy SE, the system requires either the Windows 2000 OS, the Windows XP OS, or the Windows Vista OS. A Pentium III, Celeron 1 GHz, or equivalent processor is also required. The system must also have a 128 MB RAM, an available 2.1 compliant PCI slot, 600 MB of available hard disk space on the system, and a CD or DVD drive which is needed to install the Audigy drivers and any related software. For the audio to be heard, the system also requires amplified speakers or headphones.

The Windows Vista operating system offers advanced features for users relating to Sound Blaster Audigy Value, Audigy LS, Audigy SE, and Live! 24-bit. Creative Labs has released new Audigy drivers for the Vista system concerning Audigy Value, Audigy LS, Audigy SE, and Live! 24-bit Sound Blaster sound cards. With these applications, the company allows access to speaker configuration, output audio quality, sound effects, S/PDIF input/output sampling rate, and CMSS settings.
