With the mobile business expert Cortado, BlackBerry smartphone users can now manage their corporate network files, print documents and even send fax messages. The latest version can also scan and copy a file, create PDFs, has “Instant Database Access” functions and has a print technology that used to be an impossibility.

The amazing function of being able to scan and copy allows the BlackBerry smartphone’s camera to scan any document. Printing the document is made possible with a Bluetooth or a network printer. You may also fax the document and save it in the corporate network at the same time.

Cortado Corporate Server 4.0 succeeded in including the very first PDF creator for smartphones. This would allow any user to make PDF files and send these write-protected documents straight from the smartphone. It can also retrieve documented reports from any database that can be printed, faxed or sent thru email.
The re-engineering of the Cortado’s mobile print technology enables the smartphone to intelligently match with any printer because of the presence of an appropriate printer driver.

Cortado Enterprise Solutions Sales Manager, Roger Guerrero, explained that the new version offers a new kind of corporate mobility because workflows become faster especially in an economic crisis that is being experienced now.

The 4.0 version can be bought for 1,630 euro or $1995. The amount is already good for 10 users and one year of Update Service and Support.

Olidata Conte ultraportable may be beating up other thin laptops very soon. It has 13.3-inch clear LCD screen with 16:9 contrast ratio and 1366×768 display resolution.

Reports indicated that there will be two versions, one with a 16:10, 1280×800 display, and one widescreen with a 16:9, 1366×768 display. Both of these units will sport Core 2 Duo processor. They will also have optional built-in 3G or WiMAX. Battery according to the manufacturer lasts up to four hours. The higher contrast ratio version has added features like Intel Turbo Memory, a fingerprint reader, a classy backlit keyboard, and 3GB of RAM.

Olidata Conte Ultraportable will be available in Europe this coming May. It will be around US$1,300.

It camera phone also sports LG’s unique technology called SmarLight. It also has an Image Stabilizer and D1 Video recording to capture high resolution and DVD-quality video.

The unit also sports a 2.4-inch widescreen LCD. It has Smart Bluetooth and Motion Sensor Games.

Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said that the unit was introduced with knowledge that the camera is one of the most used accessories in mobile phones. He added that users usually use their camera phones to take pictures of themselves, family, friends and loved ones.

The new phone will be available to the market this November. It will be sold in CIS and Asia, including India, Thailand, Hong Kong and China later on a price later to be announced.

The Atom-based OQO handheld computer appears like the company’s e2 computer. The device was still marked with a piece of white tape with the words “OQO MID” which clearly means that it is a mobile Internet device.

To keep the suspense up, the company refuses to give details of the product. Nevertheless, experts agree that the new gadget should very well be more advanced than its predecessor Model e2.

The present Model e2 of OQO is powered by Via Technologies processors. These units earned praises from critics and analysts worldwide for their clean and polished designs that go very well with revolutionary features such as high-speed mobile networks and the use of SSDs.

The new handheld computer is designed to use little power. Although we do not know yet as to which Atom processor version was used in the device, it is safe to assume according to analysts that it uses the Centrino Atom. Centrino Atom uses a single-chip chipset. That type of the processor, the Z series, is available at different clock speeds, ranging from 800Mhz to 1.86GHz.
