The display driver utilizes the graphics hardware of both the 32-bit and 64-bit x86 Linux systems. And so far this is the first Linux display driver software in the 180 series.</p>
<p>The new NVIDIA display driver has added support for CUDA 2.1, preliminary support was also added for OpenGL 3.0, stability is improved for the GeForce 8 series and newer GPUs, and it also improved Linux kernel compatibility. The release also fixes some bugs including a crash when xorg.conf contains Device and Screen sections but no ServerLayout section in the nvidia-settings, some SDI applications that hang or crash, the skew controls in nvidia-settings of SDI sync, the parsing of monitor sync range X config file options and regression that usually results in window corruption while running Compiz using Geforce 6 and 7 series GPUs.</p>
<p>The NVIDIA display driver 180.22 has added support for the following GeForce GPUs: 9400M G, 9400M, 9800 GT, 8200M G, Go 7700, 9800M GTX, 9800M GT, 9800M GS, 9500 GT, 9700M GT, 9650M GT and 9500 GT. Also included is the Quadro FX 2700M GPU.</p>
