Silicon Mountain Releases Atom-based Allio Lite LCD TV-PC

Silicon Mountain unveiled its new Atom-based Allio Lite LCD TV-PC, a non-silent successor to the first Allio LCD TV-PCs by the company unleashed few months ago.

There is not much different with this new one compared to its predecessor. It still sports the 1080p resolution of the 42-inch model and the 720p resolution of the 32-inch, what’s noteworthy however is the system that powers them.

In case you missed the title of this article, this TV-PC is powered by an atom-based processor. The Atom 330 processor is backed with 250GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM, and a DVD drive. There is no blu-ray option so you can’t really push this thing any further. It comes in preinstalled with Windows Vista Home Premium.

If you’re in doubt how this machine impresses the masses then listen to what one of their big bosses has to say. “We have been overwhelmed by the positive reception and accolades that Allio and Allio Lite HDTV/PC received at the 2009 Consumer Electronics show,” said Tre’ Cates, President and CEO of Silicon Mountain Holdings, Allio’s parent company.

The 42-inch version is tagged at $1,599 while the 32-inch version can be yours for $1,299.
