Samsung to Release 8MP Phone Camera with 3X Zoom

Samsung will release a high-end phone that boasts 8-megapixel with 3x zoom capability very soon. This is what Telecoms Korea reported earlier.

This camera from Samsung will be among the most advanced in all of its counterparts. The 8 MP camera phone tops even some of the modern digital camera in terms of zoom and resolution.

There is not much detail about the camera as the company perhaps plans to fully disclose its details later, but analysts already speculated that the camera uses a unique technology that allows it to combine high resolution lens with high digital zooming capability. Camera phones often have a problem with their zooming capability. Most often than not, camera phones have provide highly pixilated images despite of their high megapixel values – Samsung promises that this won’t be the case with this new camera phone. Samsumg’s new camera also autofocuses about 57 percent faster compared to previous models. This makes the camera better suited to action or moving shots.

Sources indicated that the camera will be released sometime early next year. The phone is most certainly going to be available in public by first quarter of 2009.
