Panasonic Unveils Standalone Paperless Fax Machine

While the need for fax machine appears to decline due to email and chat, Panasonic begs to differ thru the introduction of a standalone paperless fax machine.

Panasonic will be releasing its high-tech fax machine by the end of this month. This paperless fax machine, as the name says, sends in fax without needing a paper. Users only need to input the data, text, content or document into the machine and it will do the work. You can type in messages I mobile-phone-keypad-style pad and voila message is sent. Users can also use Microsoft Word documents, text files and PDF files.

Map files, images and other viewable files can also be sent, provided they are stored on a memory card. It will be like sending an email, minus composing, file attaching and presumably the need for email etiquette.

This product will be released under Panasonic’s KX-PW 608 series of devices.

The Panasonic paperless fax machine will be available initially in Japan and in US afterwards.
