Panasonic Reveals New LUMIX Series

Panasonic has a new set of digital cameras with a maximum of 12.1 megapixel lens.

The new LUMIX camera series may be a bit late for CES at least the release was complete with specifications, availability and prices.

First on the line up is the ZS-series. Panasonic boasts that ZS-series is the planet’s first digicam to feature HD video recording in AVCHD Lite. It also has twin CPU Venus Engine HD so if you’re looking for camera that has power, this maybe it. The units in this series sport a 10.1 megapixel lense and come in two versions: DMC-ZS3 available at $399.9 and DMC-ZS1 for $299.95. These two cameras have a 25mm ultra-wide angle lens and a 12x optical zoom for long shots.

Another camera in the ZS-series is the DMC-FX580. It carries an impressive 12.1 megapixel lense and has a 5x optical zoom. It is high-tech and fashionable and sports a touchscreen panel at the back. Another variant you might be interested in is the DMC-TS1 tagged at $399.95, and like the DMC-FX580 it has 12.1 megapixel lens and AVCHD Lite capturing technology. It is waterproof and shockproof. Hold your horses for this lat unit will not be available until April.
