LinuxCertified Announces Linux Device Driver Development Course
Device driver developers will now have another chance to hone their driver skills as LinuxCertified Inc. announced the Device Driver Development Course. This will be held in South Bay, CA from August 25th to August 27th.
The Linux operating system is fast being adapted by a wide variety of systems and as such the demand for new device drivers is increasing constantly.
The development course will enhances one’s abilities in skills in Linux device driver development. The course will comprise of three days of extensive and substance practice with key steps involving Linux kernel, driver debugging and other developer related topics.
The course will also involve discussions pressing general driver developments. It will address driver related issues such as driver development and task queuing.
The entire course will also cover the following modules: Devices in Linux, User Space Driver APIs, How Loadable Modules Work, Compiling, Loading And Exporting, Character Devices, Tracing and Debugging, Blocking and Wait Queues, Accessing Hardware, Handling Interrupts, Accessing PCI hardware, USB Drivers, Block Device Drivers, Network Drivers and others.

Hitachi Reveals Triple Media Blu-ray Camcorder
Hitachi has just released a new three format hybrid “Blu-ray Disc camcorder. The DZ-BD10HA camcorder will allow users to record high definition video onto BD media.
Hitachi made a lot of improvements from the 2007 predecessor of the new camcorder. Topping this list is the technology that allows recording to SDHC memory card alongside an HDD and Blu-ray drive.
The new camcorder boasts 7 mega pixel CMOS image sensor. It also has a full HD resolution of 1920×1080. It comes with a 30GB hard disk drive that can record up to 8 hours and 40 minutes of continuous video.
The DZ-BD10HA camcorder users can also upgrade the 30GB memory thru the built-in SDHC card slot. It can automatically transfer full HD video into the HDD or SDHC card to the included Blu-ray drive.
The camcorder also allows onboard video editing. It also has the modern face detection technology, optical image stabilisation and low power consumption.
The DZ-BD10HA camcorder will be available this September. It will be priced at $1000.
