Olympus Gives a Teaser of Mju Tough Camera

Olympus unveils another set of cameras that are guaranteed to stand the harsh elements of nature.

Dubbed as Mju Tough cameras, these cameras combine superb protective casing and advanced specifications.

Mju is a pocketable digital camera that can be used from waters, to frigid wastelands to ski lodge’s heated terrace. If other cameras would simply stop working because of adverse elements, this new camera by Olympus will not let you down.

Olympus is the biggest camera maker with its SW series of cameras. The company is extending its brand as the ultimate provider of tough class of digital cameras. This particular series offers specific durability levels, depending of course on what you need. The lightweight cameras can handle simple shock and submersion while the hardcore versions can solve problems in harsh conditions such as extreme temperature and water.

Tech analysts however noted that while the durability of these cameras improves, their technical properties tend to be outdated. Megapixel size as well as other features does not advance more than it should.

The price and other specifications of this camera series will be released in January 2009.
