Nokia 2228 Low-end CDMA Phone with LED Indicator Light Announced

Nokia released an entry level phone that is far from the specifications of what’s currently on trend. The Nokia 2228 is a low-end CDMA phone that doesn’t have impressive specifications other the LED indicator light.

Nokia’s aim in releasing this phone is to help itself in getting more in the CDMA space. The Finnish company isn’t doing too well with this market and this low-end phone is what Nokia sees as the answer.

The Nokia 2228 is a simple phone. But analysts agree than even its introduction might be timely because of the current economic crunch. It has 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.5 mm universal headset jack, 128×160 pixels screen, music player, FM radio, and a classy LED indicator that flashes and blinks depending on your settings.

Reports indicated that this unit will be made available in many CDMA stores later this year. With its price and the image that it projects, you can expect it to be dirt cheap.
