Microsoft Releases iPhone App Seadragon

Here’s a proof that things and policies can change depending on what the market dictates. Microsoft finally decided to join the bandwagon of iPhone lovers after numerous rumblings last March.
The big company released Seadragon, the first full pledge iPhone application. Seadragon is Microsoft’s entry to the iPhone development community. As expected, the company offered the tool at allows “infinite zooming” of pictures in iPhone for free. Seadragon allows users to zoom images from small pixels upto gigapixel-size.
Seadragon runs on the Microsoft owned Silverlight application. Despite this, the company doesn’t have any plan to bring Seadragon to Desktop just like Silverlight. Such move would be in conflict with iPhone’s Apple Desktop App.
The software’s latest update according to its official site states the following:
The earlier issues we were having with “Browse Photosynth” and intermittent failures viewing synth collections have now been resolved. Many thanks to everybody who reported the issues to us.
