iZ3D to Boast 26-inch Prototype 3D LCD in CES 2009

Topping the list of LCDs to be displayed in CES 2009 is iZ3D;s 26-inch prototype 3D LCD.

If the name sounds familiar well that is because the company produced the same product (minus 4 inches) a year ago. The 22-inch 3D LCD, released in second quarter of 2007 packs a lot of impressive features, but it didn’t become popular due to two reasons – price and promotion. The company pushed the product to more retail outlets and bundled it with slashed price offerings. Now in CES 2009, iZ3D will try to relive a lost glory with the unveiling of the better and bigger version at 26-inches.

There is no word yet as to what are the features of this 26-inch 3D LCD, but since its predecessor appear almost two years ago (by the time of CES 2009), it is safe to assume that the company has a few tricks up its sleeves.

Logically, the new product will have at least the same promise of being used in advance console gaming like Xbox 360, perhaps in 3D. The LCD price remains undisclosed.
