Intel to Showcase Classmate PC Netvertible Tablet at CES 2009

Intel is not letting CES 2009 pass without showing off a new product. This time, it will boast its Classmate PC Netvertible Tablet, a new model of mobile computer.
Intel competitors ASUS and MSI on the other hand teased expectators that they will release their own touch capable model of computers. MSI will have Winds while ASUS will release Eee PC that is all touch capable.
LaptopMag noted that they Intel’s new computer will be in the likes of the clamshell Classmate PC series. Also known as CTL 2go PC, these computers were a hit among kids in schools and are often used for science project and small school presentations. It has 8.9-inch LCD display.
The upcoming netvertible based as hinted by official source will likely have improved specs of the original Classmate PC. It will not have old greenish / yellow abomination colors and it will have improved specs too. Topping the scale at 1.6GHz with an Intel Atom N270 processor and a decent 60GB HDD, and preinstalled Windows XP OS, the PC netvertible is not something you can easily ignore.
