HP Launches New Wide Format Printer

Hewlett-Packard one of the most popular printer manufacturers came up with a new wide printer format that can answer the printing requirements of many industries. The new printer is called the HP Z3200 and is engineered for professional photographers and designers. HP Z3200 sports a new ink formulation. Compared to its predecessors, the new printer has more speed and paper-handling improvements and other enhancements.
HP Z3200 is a 12-ink pigment printer. It has a 24-inch and 44-inch versions.
The new printer carries the Vivera inkset technology and has a new Chromatic Red ink and Quad Black inks. It also has a gloss optimizer an advanced feature that allows image print outs to have more brilliant colors.
The HP Z3200 also has a built-in spectrophotometer which adds intelligence to the printer’s basic functions. HP Z3200 also carries an enhanced Color Center tool for a more advanced calibration and profiling.
HP Z3200 can print images of up to 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution. As this new printer is speeder than the previous models, printing speed is up to 12.4 minutes per A1/D color print on glossy paper in Best Mode.
HP Z3200 has Ethernet connection capability, a USB 2.0 port and an EIO Jetdirect accessory slot.
The printer will be available in October. The 24-inch model is tagged at $3395.00 while the larger 44-inch model is priced at $5,595.00.
