Eee PC Maker Prepares Android Phone For 2009

Maker of the Eee PC Asus will launch a Google Android based phone on the first half of 2009.
This is what DigiTimes reported earlier. However the site failed to disclose their source, nevertheless, the said that it is a reliable claim.

The report also hinted that the new phone may initially be available in Taiwan. Asus is an electronic device manufacturer based in Taiwan. Analysts assume that after only a sort of market test, will the phone be shipped to other continents, including United States of course.

Asus currently offers a range of Windows Mobile smartphones. This includes M930 and P750. These phones had reviews that are far from being favourable, according to The Register.

Analysts believes that the arrival of another Android-based phone will give Windows Mobile some serious competition.
