Dmedia’s WiMAX-packing G5W GPS Unit Announced

dmedia released a new GPS navigation system with total WiMax connectivity. The new WiMAX G5W GPS unit appears better than other gadgets that call themselves WiMax-friendly.

Although this product is really promising, you should first pause being excited too much as the press isn’t really sure whether the product is just a prototype or is in marketing stage already. Nevertheless, this will surely be made available in Hong Kong very soon.

Basing from the very limited reports, the dmedia G5W GPS navigation system will have a 5-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity and FM transmitter. It has GPRS and EDGE connectivity and WiMax. It is safe to assume that there is a lot more to this device, otherwise all that connection speed will be wasted.
With a device like this, the only thing left needed is WiMax coverage!
