The PX450 full-color printer also boasts its print time of five seconds of a typical narrow print of 4” x 2.5” coupon as one of the fastest among full-color POS printers. It also has a guillotine cutter built-in to the device which makes the printed output clean in its edges unlike other printer outputs which have perforated edges. It also allows that printer to cut the printout in any length.

Primera’s PX450 Color Printer can be connected easily with most POS systems and computers that are being used today. It uses a standard USB port for interfacing with computers and POS systems and it comes with printer drivers for Mac® OS 10.2 or higher and Windows® XP or Vista.

Though the PX450 was designed for retail POS, it is expected to used in banking,  hospitals and other institutions that has a need for full-color narrow print output.

The Dual Band technology let users network their computers wirelessly using the popular 2.4GHz or 5GHz radio frequency. The 2.4GHz frequency is more commonly used in most wireless devices and gadgets of today including the new wireless N devices as well as the older wireless G and B products. PowerShot D10 is the first waterproof camera made by Canon. You might find that hard to believe but it appears that Canon finally care for durability. PowerShot D10 has 12.1-megapixel sensor, and is powered by the DIGIC 4 processor with a host of smart on-board technologies. It also has a 3x zoom lens with image stabilisation for clearer pictures.

It has a 2.5-inch PureColor LCD II display at the back so you can clearly see what you’re shooting at (and after taking the shot). Talk about durability, the LCD screen has 2mm shield that protects it from common bumps and scratches, of course just don’t try to destroy it deliberately and you’ll be fine.

The camera is also shock resistant. It is waterproof up to depth of 10 meters.
This Canon camera will be available this April for a price of £379.

We’re really running out of luck and the information about this new SSD is a bit limited. Ok, we admit it’s really limited. We don’t know yet how it really performs as the company is yet to release a detailed report on their testing, or if they are willing to. Fact of the matter is the PR team of Buffalo refused to disclose many details when they were asked by Akihabara. Now think of that.

Fortunately, we’ve heard that the new drive can give your system a lot of boost. Buffalo claim a 30-percent speed boost over a standard HDD and that is a lot!

The 120GB model will cost 320€, the 60GB will cost 200€, and the 30GB should cost 100€.

Te SHD-NSUM 30GB, 60GB and 120GB versions will be out initially in Japan. They’ll be priced at 12,000 yen ($124), 21,000 yen ($217) and 38,000 yen ($392) respectively.

The new Dell Studio XPS 435 has this: supremum configuration. It has a 3.2GHz Intel Core i7 processor extreme edition on a X58 chipset, up to 24GB DDR3 SDRAM and 4.5 TB with three hard drive bays. That’s a mouthful when I try to read it and it’s practically nothing short of impressive. The innards is a monster, it has ATI Radeon HD4870, Blu-ray disc drive, 15-in-1 card reader, and eight USB 2.0 ports at the same time.

Of course, these super edgy specs come for a price, and a high price for that matter. Breathe for now as Dell is yet to disclose the price of this monster.

As mentioned the custom-built e-book reader was developed using the prototype kits from E Ink. E Ink’s prototype kits can allow developers and hobbyist to create their own readers using the paper-like display technology that is being used in the most popular readers today. You will have to pay the price of $3000 though for experimenting and making a custom-built e-book reader. The platform was based mostly on open source hardware and software since it is designed for developers. The motherboard is the open source Gumstix which a 400MHz Marvell processor. It also has a Bluetooth transceiver, a serial port, USB and a card reader. It is preinstalled with Linux though some developers are using Windows CE and also trying to run different operating system. The prototype also offers open source display drivers that developers can tinker with. The prototype kits are availablein 5″, 6″, 8″ and 9.7″ displays.

The new projector is cheap and can fit right in your palm. It is an LED projector with a lot of geeky innards perfect for some physics classroom discussion.

Don’t underestimate it just because it’s small, it has can be used to project movies, television shows, video games and more up to 70 inches in size from virtually any multi-media device: Blu-ray and DVD players, MP3 and video players and video game consoles. Just imagine what you can do with this thing.

The device is powered by a number of D batteries which unfortunately their long press release failed to mention.

Dell earlier unveiled a 3- x 3-foot cubical at CES and to our surprise, tada, the new Inspiron Mini 10 series.

The computer sports .1-inch display, 802.11b/g WiFi and optional Bluetooth 2.1. It has HDMI out and external DVD drive. The basic unit has 160GB of HDD and 1GB of RAM. Another noticeable feature is the size of the keyboard, it has 92 percent the size of standard laptop unit and it also has a multitouch trackpad, pretty much like that of MacBook Air.

There is also an internal TV tuner and your choice of a 3-cell (3 hours) or 6-cell (6.5 hours) – talk about entertainment with power.

Inspiron Mini 10 is now available for pre-order at Dell’s website.
