Acer is trying to prove that they are not just all about netbooks and laptops. And the new Aspire X1700 SFF PC and new 23-inch H233H 1080p LCD monitor is more than enough to justify that.
Aspire X1700 can go very well in between the earlier Aspire versions, X3200 and X1200. The computer tips in the scale at 10.4- x 4- x 14.4-inches. It is a small PC in terms of size but its specs aren’t much of a low-end type. It is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel dual-core E2200 CPU and has 4GB DDR2 RAM. GPU is high at GeForce 7100 graphics and has nine USB 2.0 sockets. We don’t know why the maker gave it that much USB sockets but if that’s not enough. There is also a multi-card reader and an HDMI socket. The computer has 640GB SATA II hard drive, dual-later DVD writer and USB keyboard plus mouse – pretty much all usual user can ask for.
Not really bundled with this unit, but perhaps equally worth mentioning is the new H233H 23-inch LCD display. It has 1,920 x 1,080 and 5-millisecond response time. Brightness rate is at 300 nits with 160-degree viewing angles. It has 1.5-watt built in speakers and a high contrast ratio of up to 40,000:1.
Aspire X1700 and H233H 23-inch LCD display will be available very soon with H233H 23-inch LCD display respective price tags.
